Transformation is what God does in you

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) states that “we are God’s masterpiece”.  The NT scriptures are full of verses that speak of the incredible work that God does in His people, His sons and daughters who are saved by His grace.

When someone repents and receives Jesus as their Saviour the Bible describes this as being “born again”, becoming “a new creation” where “old things have passed away” and “all things have become new”.

This is the hope and reality of the gospel; your life can change!  Jesus gives new life!

The apostle Paul writes about God beginning a “good work in you” and that He will complete it.  He wrote to believers about being "transformed…from glory to glory…by the Spirit of the Lord" and about “God who works in you”.

God instructs the prophet Jeremiah to go down to the Potter’s House.  When he is there he sees the potter making something on the wheel.  Isaiah 64:8  says “But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.”  As the potter forms and transforms the clay God transforms His people.

Jesus calls you to be His disciple.  To follow Him and become like Him.  A transformed life is the story of every genuine believer/follower of Jesus.

The pattern revealed from the New Testament is that believers are called to be members of a local church where they can be discipled (learn about following Jesus and the life He calls you to live), can worship with other believers and importantly serve others, their community and be involved in ministry in the local church.

The next step for any new believer is to commit themselves to a local church and follow Jesus with others.  You have been called to MISSION.
